The Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment has committed up to £100,000 (€78,756) to the development of an online Small Claims Court. The analysis phase of the pilot project, taking place this year, is funded by the Department's information society fund evaluation team.

The final online service should deal with disputed transactions - including "business to consumer" e-commerce transactions - by consumers in relation to goods or services.
